Molecular sieve 3A in the form of zeolite-activated powder has exceptional adsorption properties even at very low concentrations of adsorbed molecules, has a controlled particle size that does not contain impurities. Molecular sieve powder is used as a molecular sieve to remove moisture in the manufacture of polyurethane products (polyurethane sealants, soles, coatings, floor coverings, etc.), where the presence of water molecules can cause adverse effects.
Polyurethanes are produced by a chemical reaction between isocyanates and polyols. When water molecules are present in the system, they react with isocyanates and lead to the formation of polyamide and gaseous CO2. Carbon dioxide remains in the polyurethane in the form of small bubbles, which adversely affect the mechanical and visual properties of the final product. The powder can be easily dispersed in any formula and remove water molecules from raw materials and already developed systems (1K and 2K polyurethane systems). The product is different in pore size and was specially designed for the production of polyurethane products.
Application:
Polyurethane production.
Effect - moisture removal, regulation of curing time.
Polymer adsorbents
Zeolites in a polymer mixture are used as an adsorbing agent in pharmaceutical and food packaging. Zeolites (eg 3A molecular sieve powder) are used to make insulated glazing polymer gaskets.
Cosmetics
Zeolites are used in creams, lotions and other anhydrous cosmetics as additives to create a "warming" effect. Adsorption of water on molecules of powder activated by zeolite is an exothermic process during which zeolite is heated and emits heat.
Paints and coatings
Molecular sieves made of zeolite-activated powders are a very effective additive for removing water molecules in the production of paints and coatings with metallic pigments.
