Pump for the food industry
In the production of food products, in an industrial enterprise, a lot of different equipment is used. In particular: mixers, heat treatment units, grinders, filling devices and many other devices for automating the process in production. A special place in these enterprises is occupied by dosing equipment, which is used to supply the exact amount of the required substance. As a rule, special dispensing equipment is used for liquid and low viscosity liquids.
There are a number of requirements before dosing equipment:
Precise dosage - this is one of the most important conditions for dosing equipment, because in food production it is very important to adhere to the recipe, it is used to dose liquid in different quantities, but very accurately.
Chemical resistance of materials - the flow path of the dosing pump must be made of a material that will be chemically resistant to the dosing liquid. As a rule, stainless steel is used in food production, but it can also be replaced by polymers that have similar properties. For example, the diaphragm cannot be made of steel, so our Supplier uses Teflon (PTFE) in production.
Accuracy of presentation - you need to be aware that some dispensers create hydraulic pulsations during pumping of liquid, which are not always desirable when pumping certain types of products. This problem can be solved by installing a pulsation damper, which reduces pressure surges.
If you need to accurately pump liquid and preserve the structure of the substance that is being pumped, then in this situation, it is better to use peristaltic pumps, provided that there is no pressure in the system.
In addition to the above parameters, when working with food products, you need to pay attention to the density, viscosity, temperature, the presence of particles, pressure in the system, as well as other characteristics that the dispenser pump has.
