SCLO 3 HYCHLOR amperometric chlorine sensor without housing - element, spare part for SCLO 3 HYCHLOR amperometric free chlorine sensor. Electrode material: platinum, copper.
Design and operation of the open-type amperometric sensor SCLO 3 HYCHLOR is a flow-through galvanic cell installed in a transparent case, which has a cathode (made of gold or platinum) and an anode (silver or copper). There are also built-in sensors in the cell body: temperature and flow. The measured flow of water (40-60 l /min) passes through the cathode and the anode, where part of it decomposes at the cathode. The formed ions enter the anode, where they are oxidized - a current is generated that is proportional to the concentration of chlorine in the water, the level of which must be measured.
The design of the open sensor and the flow cell has a very high response rate and reliability (unlike closed-type sensors), which is necessary when the level of the analyte content (most often active chlorine) is unstable or when the level of the analyte is unstable or when the use of closed membrane-type sensors is impossible , due to the rapid overgrowth of the membrane with hardness salts
